I talk about snacking a lot here on the blog. Truly, I love my snacks.
These chocolate covered banana chips are the perfect healthy snack. They are naturally gluten free, dairy free, grain free and ONLY 4 INGREDIENTS. Plus they are customizable so you can top with anything you like. I topped mine with sea salt, caca nibs, coconut, peanut butter, and coconut sugar. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2-2 1/2 bananas sliced
3 tbsp coconut oil
1/4 cup + 2 tsp cacao powder
1 tsp coconut sugar
Directions:
Line a pan with parchment paper. Place your sliced bananas on the sheet and place in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight. When bananas are frozen, get your topping ready and begin making the chocolate sauce. Heat up a small pot over very low heat. Then add in the coconut oil, coconut sugar, and cacao powder. Mix the sauce until it is melted and well combined. Remove from heat. Remove the bananas from the freezer and begin dipping each banana slice in the sauce. Once removed from the sauce, place back onto the parchment paper and assemble your toppings (it is best to add your toppings while the sauce is still melted. Repeat until all your bananas are covered. Place back in the freezer to store or enjoy after freezing for at least 20 minutes.
