Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

There is nothing like a classic chocolate chip banana bread. I’ll be honest, I am typically a banana nut bread kind of girl but this chocolate chip banana bread is so satisfying.

We make a batch of this bread almost every single week on Sundays. It makes mornings so much easier. I don’t have a lot of time in the morning, so to be able to grab something that is quick, healthy and satisfying is important. This recipe is grain free, gluten free, and an amazing source of protein, potassium and fiber. It’s the perfect meal to keep you full and energized throughout your morning.

2 cups almond flour
1/2 cup cassava flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of himalayan salt
5 bananas mashed
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1/3 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a bread pan well. In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients, leaving out the chocolate chips. In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients. Then combine the dry and wet ingredients. Once combined, fold in chocolate chips. Transfer batter to the greased loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick goes in and out clean.
